Condition Reports
Track the condition of inventory-tracked rental items at pickup and return. Condition reports help document pre-existing damage, catch new damage on return, and automatically route damaged items to the workshop.
Key Conceptsโ
- Per-item tracking -- condition reports are logged per individual inventory item, not per booking or product
- Dual-point inspection -- reports can be created at both pickup (documenting pre-existing condition) and return (catching new damage)
- Photo documentation -- up to 5 photos per report, required for Poor/Damaged ratings
- Workshop integration -- items returned with "Damaged" condition are automatically sent to workshop
- Condition ratings -- Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, Damaged
Condition Ratingsโ
| Rating | Description |
|---|---|
excellent | Item is in perfect condition |
good | Minor wear, fully functional |
fair | Noticeable wear but functional |
poor | Significant wear, may need attention |
damaged | Item is damaged and needs repair |
note
When an item is returned with damaged condition, it is automatically sent to the workshop with reason returned_damaged and removed from available inventory until the workshop job is completed.
